So...in addition to loving to travel and explore...I write music. I think I've mentioned this before. But if I haven't...now ya know!
Some of the best things I've ever discovered as a traveler we're not places I learned about by word of mouth, a travel website, or a travel book. It was by simply getting in my car and driving in any and all directions and once in a while when something piqued my interest getting out and taking a walk. Whatever direction my heart desired at the moment. A traveler without a pause (a destination - get it?).
...unlike the song, the sound of silence isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes it's exactly the thing you need to truly take in an experience. And sometimes, that's exactly what you need when you're traveling...silence.
One thing a Back Road Warrior hopes for when they are out exploring is an adventure. And folks, today this Back Road Warrior was not disappointed.
I began the day by trekking south off of Alternate Highway 17 in Cottageville SC via Jacksonboro Rd to Charleston Highway (aka Hwy 64), to about a mile shy of Jacksonboro, SC.
